NAPIT approved
Electrical work, with the lighting done properly
AC Electrical Ware is run by Antony Carubia, a NAPIT-approved electrician based in Hertford and Ware. Most of the work comes down to power and lighting: sockets and circuits, full rewires, consumer-unit upgrades, and the lighting design that a lot of electricians leave as an afterthought.
Lighting is where the detail goes in. That means hidden LED tape run through a routed aluminium profile with a diffuser, feature lighting on bookcases and stairwells, and garden lighting run in zones. One recent job wired four zones of garden lighting, controlled wirelessly through a WiseBox, across flower beds, trees, steps and a pergola.
What we do
Lighting first, then everything that plugs into it
Lutron RA2 lighting control. AC Electrical Ware is a Lutron RA2 accredited, authorised installer, fitting keypads and dimmers that integrate with Nest, Sonos, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit. Feature lighting, LED tape in aluminium profile, and multi-zone garden lighting controlled wirelessly via WiseBox are all part of the same job.
Power and rewires. Full and partial rewires, new consumer units and circuits, kitchens and extensions, usually working alongside a local builder so the electrics and the building work land in step.
Smart home, CCTV and data. Hikvision CCTV with PoE and remote viewing, Nest Pro thermostats, Doorbird video entry, home networking and TV distribution, fitted in properly rather than bolted on.
Ground to finish
How a job runs
Every job starts with a look at what's there and a conversation about what you actually want lit, powered or controlled, then a price before anything gets touched.
First fix gets the same attention as the finish: cables and boxes labelled clearly as the work goes in, so the second fix goes in easier and anyone looking at it later can see what feeds what.
Notifiable work is tested and certified under NAPIT before it's signed off, and Lutron RA2 systems are commissioned and left working the way they were designed to.
